Inside diameter, outside diameter, wall thickness, and hardness together determine both the fit and how these parts behave under load. They are manufactured in Shore A 60 to 95 hardness grades, selected based on the application, with lower hardness used where cushioning and compliance are important, and higher hardness where the part must resist deformation under sustained or repeated loads.
Yes. Custom bore PU bushes are produced to a specified ID, OD and length from a drawing or physical sample. PU bushes with grooves and profiles are also manufactured where the design requires shoulders, recesses or retention features. Where the finished bore or profile needs tighter control than moulding alone allows, the bush is moulded first and then machined.
Moulded parts are produced through dedicated tooling for recurring geometries, while machined parts are cut and finished from stock to specified dimensions. Moulded PU bushes suit established components running in regular production volumes. Machined Polyurethane bushes suit trial quantities, one-off sizes and applications where the bore or OD tolerance is tighter than the moulded stage can hold on its own.
Polyurethane offers higher load capacity, better abrasion resistance and lower compression set than rubber at the same hardness. This makes polyurethane bushes the preferred choice where the component sees continuous load or repeated movement over a long service life. Rubber bushes are selected where higher elasticity and greater deflection under load are required. Both are manufactured in-house at Easkay India, so the material can be selected purely on the application requirement.
