Frequently asked questions
These are solid polyurethane material supplied for machining into finished components. PU rods for machining are turned, bored and profiled into bushes, spacers, guide components, small rollers and wear parts.
Custom diameter PU rods are produced to your specified dimension rather than fixed catalogue sizes. Cut to length PU rods are supplied where the machining operation needs a specific length rather than a full rod.
Yes. Machinable PU rods are supplied specifically for secondary operations at your end or ours. Turning, boring, grooving, profiling and facing are all standard operations on cast polyurethane rod. Surface condition is supplied as moulded or to a specified finish depending on the machining requirement.
Rod is the practical choice for one-off sizes, trial components and low volumes where cutting a dedicated mould cavity is not economical. PU stock material for machining also suits situations where the final dimensions are still being finalised, since the same rod can be machined to different sizes during development.
